Raycast AI
Raycast is a macOS productivity launcher that replaces Spotlight. Press a hotkey, type a command, and things happen — open apps, manage windows, search files. Raycast AI adds a chat interface and AI commands directly into this launcher. MCP tools integrate here, meaning you can query databases, check server status, or call any MCP tool without leaving your current app.
MCP Tools at the Speed of a Keyboard Shortcut
Raycast's value is instant access. ⌘+Space opens the launcher from anywhere. Type your question, and Raycast AI answers with MCP tool data — server metrics, database lookups, deployment status — without opening a browser, terminal, or dedicated AI app.
AI commands let you create shortcuts for specific MCP-powered queries: "deploy status" → calls your deployment MCP tool and returns the answer in the launcher overlay. It takes seconds.
